Founded in 2003 to meet the need for contemporary dance opportunities, sjDANCEco serves both the community of San Jose residents and the community of local dance artists. We have put into place exemplary programs that enable local residents to experience top quality contemporary dance performance in San Jose. We have introduced new audiences to dance and, through consistent excellence in our performance series, we strive to instill a lasting appreciation for the art form.

Our 2011-2012 events include:

October 14th and 15th @ 8:00pm, Annual Fall Concert featuring José Limón's exquisite masterwork 'Missa Brevis' - Location: The California Theatre

November 4th and 5th @ 7:00pm (Sat 2:30pm also) Fall ChoreoProject Awards Concert, a dance series that provides emerging professional choreographers a cost-free opportunity to present their work. Location: SJSU SPX 219 Dance Theatre.    (application deadline October 2nd)

February 17th and 18th @ 7:00pm (Sat 2:30pm also) Spring ChoreoProject Awards Concert, a dance series that provides emerging professional choreographers a cost-free opportunity to present their work. March (Date TBA), Benefit Dance-A-Thon & Silent Auction, a funndraiser for the Dancin' in the Row Festival at The Strlite Ballroom. (Check our current events for details!)

April 22, 2012, Dancin' in the Row Festival, a FREE outdoor celebration of dance for National Dance Week featuring up to 50 diverse dance groups in Park Valencia at Santana Row. Applications Available soon!
