Class Descriptions:

Paulette Davis – Accompanist

Maria Basile – A strong, technically placed class with emphasis on moving seamlessly with the natural forces of gravity. (Limon influenced) – February 18^th, 25^th, April 21^st, 28^th, June 16^th.

Heather Cooper – An upbeat, energetic, physically charged contemporary class that will cover space, take you to the floor, and lead you upside down. May involve partnering and leave you smiling and sweating! February 4^th, 11^th, April 7^th, 14^th, June 2^nd, 9^th.

Hsiang-Hsiu Lin – Yoga warm up, with sun salutation for body alignment, breath, flexibility, and strength, followed by the exploration of gravity and rhythm with fun, expressive movement. March 3^rd, 10^th, May 5^th, 12^th.

Gary Masters – Explores the breadth of movement, rhythm, dynamics, and passion of the Limon esthetic for the contemporary dancer. March 17^th, 24^th, May 19^th, 26^th.

Attention Professional & Emerging Choreographers!

sjDANCEco's ChoreoProject Award's Concert is a low-tech dance series for all dance disciplines (modern, ballet, hip hop, jazz, ethnic dance, etc.) designed to provide emerging and professional choreographers a cost free opportunity to present their work. Choreographers must be professional level.  All performers must be professionals or of pre-professional quality.  Undergraduate students are not eligible to apply. Pieces presented for audition should be complete and no longer than fifteen minutes. Dancers auditioning *must* be the same dancers performing.

Audition Information: Auditions should be submitted by online video or DVD. DVDs must arrive to sjDANCEco no later than December 2nd. Please mail DVD submissions to sjDANCEco, P.O. Box 59818, San Jose, CA, 95159. Live auditions are available by appointment. For live audition please email admin@sjdanceco.org - please put **Live Audition Request** in the subject line.

Performances: Friday, February 17th @ 7:00pm and Saturday, February 18th @ 2:30pm and 7:00pm at the Dance Theatre at SJSU, Spartan Complex SPX 219

You will be notified by e-mail of your acceptance. We highly encourage applicants that were not accepted to attend the performances. Tickets for non-accepted applicants will be provided by sjDANCEco.
